Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Business Planning & Analysis to support commercial decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and strategic partnering. You will partner with business leaders, build and maintain models, assess initiatives, provide guidance for decisions, and develop reporting and dashboards.

You will monitor performance, present insights to stakeholders, and support procurement and investments to ensure value for money

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• CPA or CFA designation (or active pursuit) is an asset.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, forecasting, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting commercial, retail, consumer products, real estate, transportation, aviation, or similarly complex environments.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to support budgets, forecasts, and long-term planning activities.
• Develop and maintain financial models providing insights into revenue, expenses, and investments.
• Analyze and evaluate new and existing initiatives, including scenarios and business cases.
• Provide financial guidance to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain financial and operational reporting, dashboards, and metrics.
• Monitor performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Present financial results and insights to stakeholders clearly.
• Support procurement and investment evaluations for value for money.
• Conduct benchmarking, market analysis, and ad hoc financial studies.
• Act as liaison between business units and Finance to align policies and reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Analyze and evaluate new and existing business initiatives, including financial impact assessments, scenario analysis, and business cases
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Develop, enhance, and maintain financial and operational reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Monitor business performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions where appropriate
• Present financial results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and meaningful way
• Support procurement and investment evaluations to ensure strong financial stewardship and value for money
• Conduct benchmarking, market analysis, and ad hoc financial studies to support business objectives
• Act as a liaison between business units and Finance teams to ensure alignment with financial policies, processes, and reporting requirement

About You

• A university degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• A CPA or CFA designation (or active pursuit of either designation) is considered an asset
• 3 of progressive experience in financial analysis, business planning, forecasting, reporting, corporate finance, or a related discipline
• Experience supporting commercial, retail, consumer products, real estate, transportation, aviation, or similarly complex business environments
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

Salary Range

$95,000 - $110, 000/year
