Job summary

RBC in Canada (Toronto) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Wealth Management Global IT Data Services. The role focuses on AI-driven agent development using Python, SQL, and Snowflake, with a hands-on and growth-minded culture.

You will leverage Copilot and Windsurf to build scalable AI-based solutions, design data pipelines, and implement automated testing. Collaboration with data engineering and DevOps teams is essential for performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Python development with modern frameworks.
• Advanced SQL across multiple platforms, including Snowflake.
• Hands-on Snowflake data warehouse and query optimization.
• Proven AI agent and automation experience.
• QE mindset with automated testing framework design.
• Proficiency with Copilot and Windsurf environments.
• Experience with REST APIs and modern integration patterns.
• Containerization with Docker/Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-based agents and automation solutions using Python.
• Build and optimize data pipelines leveraging Snowflake and SQL.
• Develop testing frameworks with a Unified Engineer approach.
• Identify risks and suggest mitigation strategies for solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design reviews for AI architectures.
• Collaborate with data engineering and infra teams to optimize queries.
• Assist DevOps/support teams in production issue resolution and tuning.
• Mentor team members on Python, AI agents, Snowflake optimizations, and testing.
