CoFoMo Inc. in Montreal, QC is seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Agile Coach to lead agile practices across multiple teams. You will facilitate ceremonies, mentor teams, and foster transparency and continuous improvement.

The role demands 15+ years in IT and 5+ years as Scrum Master/Agile Coach, with a bachelor's degree and PSM or PMI credentials preferred. Proficiency with SAFe, Kanban, and Azure DevOps is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • At least 15 years of IT experience.
  • At least 5 years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach in the last 10 years.
  • Experience with SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid Agile + Waterfall.
  • PSM certification or equivalent; PMI certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Animate and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies.
  • Support teams in continuous value delivery in SAFe contexts.
  • Ensure understanding and improvement of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
  • Maintain and optimize Agile artifacts (backlog, burndown, DoD, increments).
  • Support Product Owners in backlog management and clarification.
  • Protect teams from interruptions and unplanned requests.
  • Identify and resolve barriers, dependencies, and risks.
  • Set up and monitor Agile performance indicators (velocity, lead time, quality).
  • Ensure transparency of progress using dashboards and tools.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and stakeholders to harmonize practices.

Job description

Here is a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities:
  • Animate and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily scrums, planning, reviews, retrospectives, demonstrations)
  • Support teams in continuous value delivery, especially in SAFe-based contexts
  • Ensure understanding, application, and improvement of Agile and Scrum frameworks
  • Maintain and optimize Agile artifacts (backlog, burndown chart, Definition of Done, increments)
  • Support Product Owners in the management, prioritization and clarification of the backlog
  • Protect teams from interruptions and unplanned requests
  • Identify, document, and contribute to the resolution of barriers, dependencies, and risks
  • Set up and monitor Agile performance indicators (velocity, throughput, lead time, quality, predictability)
  • Ensure transparency of work progress using organizational tools and dashboards
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and stakeholders to harmonize practices across the organization
  • Participate in communities of practice, centers of excellence and internal initiatives in agility
  • Facilitate/animate all agile and Scrum events (daily scrums, scheduling, synchronizations, reviews, retrospectives and demonstrations)
  • Help the team measure and improve its performance (flow, quality, predictability)
  • Foster trust, psychological safety, and transparency. Ensure that Scrum artifacts (backlog, burndown chart, Definition of Done, increment, etc.) are kept up-to-date and well understood
  • Contribute to the implementation, evolution and maintenance of organization-approved Agile tools, methodologies and best practices
  • Use and train the team on the agile tools offered by the BPTI
The profile we are looking for is as follows:
  • Hold an undergraduate degree (bachelor's degree) in information technology, business administration, management or a related field
  • Have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of information technology
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience acquired within the last ten (10) years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
  • Demonstrate proven experience in strategy and data exploitation in complex environments requiring the collaboration of several administrative units or organizations, in a context comparable to that of VPTI
  • Experience in Agile project management (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban, DAD or SAFe) or hybrid Agile + Waterfall approaches
  • knowledge of collaborative tools, including Azure DevOps, is a strong asset
  • Hold a Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification or equivalent
  • PMI PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification is an asset
  • Hold a certification in agility, considered an asset
