Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, Canada, seeks an experienced Stress Engineer to perform FEM-based static strength analyses for interior components and structures, and to prepare official stress reports in English for certification.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors or Masters in mechanical or aerospace engineering, has 10+ years in aerospace (OEM preferred), MRB experience, knowledge of Patran/Nastran and Catia V5, and strong communication in English; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years of aerospace experience (OEM preferred).
• MRB experience.
• Knowledge of aircraft and interior structural substantiation static analysis.
• Experience using Patran/Nastran and Catia V5.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication in a multidisciplinary team; initiative and good engineering judgment.
• Willingness to work day/evening/weekend if necessary.
• Bilingual English/French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analyses of Static Strength with FEM for interior components and structures.
• Prepare and review official stress reports in English for certification purposes.
• Review engineering drawings and participate actively in new design.
• Perform MRB duties in support of Operations activities.
• Support various Aircraft development projects and liaise with Engineering/PMO and Operations.
