Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional, Engineering - Aircraft Structural Dynamics to join our Aerospace Canada team in a day-shift role. The candidate will perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations, prepare FEMs, and document findings for certification reports in English.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years of aerospace experience, and proficiency in Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• At least 5 years of aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analyses.
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C/C++.
• Knowledge of Part 25 regulations and CGD clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations for new design studies and continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft.
• Select methods, techniques, and tools with engineering judgment to resolve complex issues.
• Prepare and maintain finite element models to perform aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analysis.
• Maintain, develop and document methods and in-house software.
• Support and interact with other engineering disciplines such as Advanced Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, Mass Properties, Flight Controls and Control Laws.
• Support ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT) and post-process results.
• Document analyses and findings in engineering certification reports and presentations (English).
