Job summary

Intact is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Commercial & Specialty Lines pricing teams. You will apply actuarial judgment to innovative products across Canada, the US, UK and Europe, supporting large-account pricing and contributing to governance and planning processes.

The role involves driving pricing sophistication, collaborating with cross-functional groups and shaping strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector).
• Good knowledge with Python, VBA, R or SAS.
• University Degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic initiatives that enhance pricing sophistication within ratemaking and help explain nationwide performance by supporting earnings call preparation.
• Deliver actuarial support for large-account pricing across more than 22 lines of business, strengthening governance through indications, rate committees, and corporate planning processes.
• Drive change by improving work processes, adopting modern technologies and making substantial observations, conclusions and recommendations.
• Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help your colleagues in doing the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
• Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
• Share the conclusions of your analysis to the appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timelines.
