Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Medical Economics Enablement team. You will apply actuarial expertise to transform healthcare data into actionable insights that improve affordability and drive business performance.

You will work with actuarial, business, and technology partners to develop scalable analytics. The role requires 4+ years actuarial experience, completion of 5 ASA exams, and strong skills in SQL, Power BI, Python or R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required or preferred.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience in healthcare or related field.
• Completed 5+ ASA exams or eligible for ASA designation.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of exam requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops reporting structure and analytics strategy to support pricing and program decisions.
• Supports rating by enhancing actuarial models and related analyses.
• Distributes reports and investigates trends and anomalies as needed.
• Develops BI content (reports, dashboards, scorecards) across full life-cycle.
• Collaborates with business areas to map enterprise data content and BI usage.
• Manages medium/high complexity projects and contributes to knowledge base.
• Participates in the Actuarial Development Program.
