Job summary

Geosam Capital seeks an experienced Accounting Technician to join its finance team in Canada. You will handle full bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and collaborate on financial statements with the finance team.

Proficiency in multiple accounting software is essential; QuickBooks, Acomba, NetSuite, and SAP knowledge is a strong asset. Bilingual French/English is an asset. A DEC or AEC in Accounting and 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Accounting Technician

Our client, an established company, is looking for an experienced accounting technician to join their team. The ideal candidate has solid experience in general accounting and is proficient with several accounting software programs.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform full bookkeeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations)
• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements
• Monitor government remittances (GST/QST, DAS)
• Collaborate with the finance team on the continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Support the preparation of year-end files for external auditors

Desired Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Accounting
• DEC or AEC in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks
• Good knowledge of Acomba and NetSuite
• Knowledge of SAP is a significant asset
• Rigorous, autonomous, and organized
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
