Job description

We are currently looking for an Accounting Technician to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with partners and staff and join an organization that puts an emphasis on developing our people.

Your Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Account reconciliation, preparation of trial balances, posting journal entries
• Supervised preparation of Notice to Reader financial statements
• Preparation of bookkeeping from bank statements, credit card statements and other financial documents
• Preparation of monthly account reconciliations to the bank and various other accounts
• Preparation of payroll remittances
• Preparation of HST Returns

A Successful Candidate Should Possess The Following Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
• Minimum of 1-2 years of practical, comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting experience
• A commitment to teamwork and proven leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with the following software is an asset
