Job summary

Geosam Capital seeks an experienced Accounting Technician to join its finance team in Canada. You will handle full bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and collaborate on financial statements with the finance team.

Proficiency in multiple accounting software is essential; QuickBooks, Acomba, NetSuite, and SAP knowledge is a strong asset. Bilingual French/English is an asset. A DEC or AEC in Accounting and 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires solid experience in general accounting.
• Proficient with multiple accounting software programs.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience.
• DEC or AEC in Accounting (or equivalent).
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform full bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations).
• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.
• Participate in preparation of financial statements.
• Monitor government remittances (GST/QST, DAS).
• Collaborate with finance team on improving accounting processes.
• Support year-end files for external auditors.
