Job Summary

We are seeking a rigorous and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring daily financial operations, producing reports, and supporting management in accounting tasks.

Main Responsibilities

• Enter and process accounting transactions (purchases, payments, deposits, journal entries).
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts.
• Monitor and account for fixed assets.
• Prepare tax filings (GST/QST).
• Supervise accounts payable clerks and ensure quality of their work.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare required documentation and collaborate with external auditors.
• Support the controller or management with other accounting-related tasks as needed.
• Perform any other related tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in accounting or equivalent training.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Good knowledge of QuickBooks (mandatory).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Rigorous, autonomous, and well-organized.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong team spirit and professional discretion.
