Job summary

SRJ Chartered Professional Accountants in Canada is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage production accounting activities, prepare and review financial statements, and deliver tax compliance for individuals, partnerships and corporations across a diverse client base. You will collaborate with the Senior Production Manager and Senior Client Manager to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of taxation, bookkeeping, and admin procedures, strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of taxation, bookkeeping, and admin procedures.
• Experience preparing corporate, partnership and trust returns is preferred.
• Strong communication with CRA and clients is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation engagement files for Partners review.
• Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide tax consulting including planning and analysis.
• Assist with GST/HST duties and audits as needed.
• Maintain client files for timely returns and schedules.
• Research tax issues and prepare memos on complex transactions.
• Improve process efficiency and engagement quality.
• Support Partners in business development initiatives.
• Train and review junior staff as needed.
