Job summary

Southwest Marine + Powersports in Grand Bend, ON is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Controller and oversees day-to-day accounting including GL maintenance, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.

You will prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support management decisions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Qualifications

Strong accounting background with industry experience preferred.
Experience with general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decisions.
Experience leading month-end and year-end close.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for management.
Oversee floorplan lender payouts and balances.
Reconcile AR/AP and warranty/rebate accounts across OEM partners.
Coordinate collections and monitor cash flow.
Maintain asset schedules and assist with process improvements.
