Job summary

Northern Motor Sports Specialties LTD seeks a capable accountant to manage financial statements, payroll and compliance in our Ontario operation. The role covers building and maintaining accounting systems, preparing financial reports, and advising on cash, taxes and investment planning.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, a CGA level 2 credential, and proficiency with ADP and Sage/Caseware tools. This is a permanent full-time position requiring reliability and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of accounting experience.
• CGAs (CGA) level 2 or equivalent credential is required.
• Proficiency with ADP and accounting software such as Sage, Caseware/Caseview.

Responsibilities

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Plan, set up and administer accounting systems.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control.
• Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies.
• Prepare reports and audit findings.
• Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning.
• Prepare financial statements and reports.
• Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices.
• Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure.
• Analyze financial documents and reports.
• Examine accounting records.
• Provide financial, business and tax advice.
• Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits.
• Variance analysis.
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Oversee payroll administration.
