Job summary

Claystone Waste Operations Limited is seeking an Accountant to join our downtown Edmonton office, reporting to the Assistant Controller and Controller. The Accountant will provide day-to-day accounting support, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, while helping develop internal controls and management reporting.

The ideal candidate has CPA in progress or equivalent, at least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, and strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• CPA designation or in progress.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial analysis software.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain integrity.

Responsibilities

• Post transactions, journal entries, and supporting information.
• Account reconciliations and investigation of discrepancies.
• Intercompany reconciliations and balance monitoring.
• Financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Audit support and business analytics.
