Aecon is seeking a Sr. Accountant in Toronto to lead financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for infrastructure-focused projects. The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, CPA designation, and solid Excel skills.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support audits, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help drive annual budgets and monthly close processes, ensuring timely, reliable financial information for decision-makers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting; CPA designation required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee finance activities within a business unit including financial reporting, budgeting, taxation.
• Coordinate month-end close, journal entries, eliminations, accruals and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and develop annual budgets with business partners.
• Ensure SAP transactions are recorded accurately with proper documentation.
