Job summary

Impact Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our client in Southeast Edmonton. You will own month-end close, lead reconciliations, and prepare financial statements, with strong SAP expertise and a CPA designation preferred or actively pursued.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, and audit readiness, ensuring accuracy and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong SAP experience is required.
• CPA designation preferred, or actively pursuing a CPA.
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Exposure to audit processes.
• 5 days in office role.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to leadership.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Support year-end audit activities with schedules and documentation.
• Assist budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Contribute to cost accounting and manufacturing variances.
• Collaborate with operations to assess financial performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.
