Job summary

Nchkay, based in Canada, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely reporting. The role involves monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated statements, project costing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of full cycle accounting.
• Strong experience in project accounting.
• Experience mentoring junior accounting staff.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and Canadian accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day full-cycle accounting for multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision making.
• Oversee project accounting and cost review for operations and future projects.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners and auditors.
• Ensure tax compliance and coordinate GST, WCB filings.
