Job summary

MDD, A Davies Company in Calgary is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Forensic Accounting department. The role centers on analytics, investigations and supporting litigation procedures within a global practice.

You will perform data analysis, inventory observation, source‑document review, report drafting and interviews with clients. CPA designation or near completion, at least two years of experience, and strong Excel/Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or near completion.
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
• Interest in pursuing CBV designation.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams).

Responsibilities

• Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data.
• Physical inventory observation, price testing.

Your New Role

We are looking for a qualified accountant with an interest in pursuing a career in forensic accounting.

The tasks performed will include, but are not limited to:

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or near completion
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience
• Interest in pursuing a secondary designation such as the CBV
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to work under pressure or tight deadlines
• Well-developed analytical, writing and problem solving skills
• Ability to understand a business and how loss events have impacted it
• Willingness to accept increasing responsibility as experience grows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Teams
• Additional language skills considered an asset
