Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting for a 15-month opportunity in Calgary, Alberta. The role covers month-end close, financial reporting, and collaboration with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting.

You will liaise with audit teams and ensure regulatory filings are completed on time, while supporting process improvements and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel proficiency and experience in financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close processes and internal controls.
• CPA designation or equivalent international accounting designation required.

Responsibilities

• Complete full month-end accounting cycle, including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial results and management reporting packages.
• Analyze transactions, settlements and variances; resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting and ad hoc support to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with audit teams to ensure timely, accurate audits.
