Job summary

RECRUITMENT PARTNERS INC. seeks a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting in Calgary to manage a portfolio of entities, oversee technical accounting, and drive accurate monthly/quarterly reporting.

You will work closely with the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller to ensure timely close processes and compliance. The role requires CPA designation, 3+ years of public accounting experience, and strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and tax support.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required; degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and analysis.
• Experience with Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and CaseWare is an asset.
• Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare and post journal entries in Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and CaseWare.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting working papers.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Ensure ASPE compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and file GST returns and support tax compliance.
• Assist with tax audits and supporting documentation.
• Support project accounting, loan draws, and entity closeout.

Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to play a key role in financial operations. Reporting to the Corporate Controller and working closely with the Assistant Controller, you will manage a portfolio of companies and oversee technical accounting, financial reporting, and the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, tax, GST, audit support, and year-end reporting. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
