Job summary

Recruitment Partners Inc. seeks a proactive Senior Accountant to join the corporate finance team in SE Calgary. You will drive full-cycle accounting, optimize processes, and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency across Western Canada and the U.S. divisions.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will ensure accurate GL, balance sheet integrity, and timely financial reporting in a high-tempo environment that values automation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in small-to-mid-sized operating companies.
• Experience in Canadian payroll processing.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and lease accounting is a strong asset.
• A proactive, automation-minded approach leveraging AI tools.
• Ability to work in a hybrid in SE Calgary setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including reconciliations, fixed assets, and lease accounting under US GAAP.
• Process bi-weekly payroll across Canadian operations using QuickBooks Payroll.
• Oversee general ledger coding across AP/AR to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows using AI and automation.
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-unit process improvements.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders as a solution-oriented resource.
