Job summary

A leading staffing firm is seeking an Associate for a 3-month contract in Toronto. The candidate will conduct month/year end closing duties under IFRS/US GAAP, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience required.

Overview

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes under IFRS or US GAAP. This is a 3 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle month/year end close duties under IFRS/ US GAAP including reviewing and booking journal entries
• Prepare financial statements with analysis and schedules
• Ensuring compliance around revenue recognition
• Preparing adjusting entries for intercompany, expense, accruals and payroll
• Support the quarterly reviews and year-end audit
• Provide ad-hoc support for corporate projects and initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a public company and technical knowledge of IFRS
• Advanced level Excel skill (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)
• Knowledge of and experience with Oracle
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
