Catch Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to own the full-cycle accounting function, deliver timely financial reporting, and support project costing and cash flow management. You will work closely with senior leadership to maintain strong internal controls and drive operational excellence across the finance team.

The role requires overseeing general ledger activities, month-end closes, ASPE-compliant statements, and coordination with external accountants.

Responsabilités

• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, meeting reporting deadlines.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules per ASPE, with analysis for leadership.
• Coordinate year-end working papers with external accountants for reviews and tax filings.
• Monitor project revenue, expenses, commitments, and margins; ensure accurate project coding and GL reconciliation.
• Collaborate with project and operations teams to assess costs against budgets and analyze variances.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, collections, and aging reports; resolve billing discrepancies.
• Manage supplier invoices, reconciliations, and payment schedules with proper approvals.

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to take ownership of the full-cycle accounting function and oversee day-to-day financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, delivering timely reporting, supporting project costing and cash flow management, and identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with ASPE, providing analysis of financial results, variances, and key issues to leadership.
• Coordinate year-end working papers and information requests with external accountants, supporting financial reviews, tax filings, and other reporting requirements.

Project Accounting & Cost Management

• Monitor project revenue, expenses, commitments, and margins, ensuring accurate project coding and reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Partner with project and operational teams to assess costs against budgets, investigate variances, and provide insight into project performance and profitability.

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable

• Oversee customer invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and aging reports, resolving billing discrepancies with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier invoices, account reconciliations, and payment schedules, ensuring appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals are in place before payments are processed.
