Job Details

KEY Education is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director, handling full-cycle accounting, generating reports, and supporting various ad-hoc projects. This role offers exposure to accounting, finance, business planning, revenue and operational forecasting, payroll, banking, tax, and risk management, making it ideal for someone looking to accelerate their career and gain broad business experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage full-cycle monthly reporting
2. Oversee billing team; manage credits; prepare AR aging reports
3. Handle accounts payable: pay runs twice monthly; categorize expenses
4. Run payroll and pay contractors biweekly
5. File and pay GST
6. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
7. Prepare and post accruals
8. Prepare month-end and quarter-end management reports
9. Support annual budgeting, including departmental budgets and reports
10. Run financial, cash flow, and operational reports for decision-making
11. Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed

Qualifications:

1. Accounting degree; Professional designation (e.g., CPA) is an asset
2. Minimum 3 years experience in a senior/intermediate accounting role
3. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
4. Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
7. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
8. Ability to work independently and in a team
9. Experience with QuickBooks and payroll software is an asset
10. Experience with Google Suite tools is preferred
