Senior Accountant Opportunity – Downtown Toronto, ON

BGSF is pleased to partner with our client in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant . This role will provide critical support to the Controller, focusing on corporate accounting functions, including accounts payable, general ledger management, and intercompany transactions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, reviewing financial reports, and supporting audit processes. A strong foundation in general accounting, along with expertise in intercompany accounting, will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage daily corporate accounting activities, including AP, general ledger, and intercompany transactions
• Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, with a focus on intercompany accounting
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports to support business decisions and strategic initiatives
• Support audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Maintain a firm understanding of debits and credits to ensure accurate financial records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid foundation in general accounting with a focus on financial statements and consolidations
• Proficiency with Sage or other large ERP systems
• Must be a Canadian citizen or legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
