Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with project accounting, tracking budgets, costs, and progress billings for ICI construction projects.
• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and project profitability.
• Prepare and file HST, WSIB, payroll remittances, and other regulatory filings.
• Support the audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

• Accounting Expertise: Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and project accounting within the construction or ICI sector.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction, real estate development, or related industries.
• Education: CPA designation is a must; post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
