About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant who will play a key role in managing Pine’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy across all accounting activities. This is an opportunity to build and shape processes in a high-growth environment, work cross-functionally with Finance and Operations, and make a real impact as we scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting process, reviewing reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Develop and refine accounting processes and controls to support Pine’s continued growth.
  • Contribute to month end close, ensuring processes are in place for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Take ownership of the financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy of all balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS/ASPE.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis alongside the Finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Assist with system implementations and process automation initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS or ASPE.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Startup experience is a strong asset - you’re adaptable, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software is a plus.
