Senior Accountant

Leda Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. is looking for a full-time or part-time accounting technician/staff accountant to join our team. We are a growing, dynamic, and proactive accounting firm. We are looking for an individual who prefers to work from home/work remotely. There is no need to come into an office, and we provide a flexible work schedule within our core business hours, with additional time off in July and August.

What We Offer:

1. Flexible work schedule within our regular business hours of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, from September to June; possibility of July and August off (or reduced hours)

Role at Leda:

1. Prepare working paper files for compilation and review engagements
2. Prepare financial statements and tax returns (corporate, personal, and trust)
3. Collaborate with the partners and other members of the team on client matters
4. Communicate with the Canada Revenue Agency and clients
5. Work independently and follow through on assignments and special projects with minimal direction
6. Perform other tasks as required

Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years of accounting and tax experience with a public practice accounting firm
2. Caseware, Caseview, and Tax software experience
3. Strong working knowledge of Sage, QBO, and MS Office
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Strong team-player attitude; needs to work well under pressure and be adaptable in the face of changing priorities
6. Commitment to always present themselves in a professional manner
7. Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality
8. Sensitivity to confidential matters
