Manager - Accounting & Finance Hays Canada

Senior Accountant/Administrator

Salary: Up to $85,000

Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid)

This private investment firm focuses on equity placements in industrial services businesses and commercial real estate. The firm specializes in value-add investments, leveraging expertise in complex underwriting and fast turnarounds. It has also expanded into asset management, particularly in the industrial and commercial sectors.

The Role

  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow planning
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and investment tracking
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax and employment regulations
  • Coordinate tax filings, audits, and liaise with external tax professionals
  • Maintain accurate financial records, risk management oversight, and regulatory compliance

Administrative & Operational Oversight

  • Manage business insurance policies and oversee operational risk management
  • Plan and organize family and business-related events and reports
  • Provide administrative support, including document management and calendar coordination
  • Collaborate with external advisors on legal, tax, and investment matters

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 7–10 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or family office administration
  • CPA designation or equivalent (preferred)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations and financial reporting standards
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience in a family office, high-net-worth individual environment, or investment-focused organization (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
