Your new company

We are working with a construction company based in Abbotsford searching for a Senior Accountant with an excellent opportunity for growth.

Your new role

• Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
• Perform bank and visa reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Handle non-progress draw billing, including preparation and submission of invoices.
• Enter payroll journal entries into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Assist the accounts payable team with knowledge and support, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Assist with project accounting tasks, including job costing and month-end.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 3 – 5 years’ experience
• CPA designated or in process
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
• Experience with high volume AR and Project Accounting is desired.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator with individuals at all levels within the company.
