Job summary

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is hiring for an Insurance Business Development Account Manager – Multi-Unit in the Greater Toronto Area. The role focuses on promoting CMHC’s mortgage loan insurance products, building strong client relationships, and delivering targeted training to lenders.

You will collaborate with leadership and lenders to identify opportunities, with travel primarily within the GTA, and a 18-month temporary contract with some in-office presence.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, business administration, or marketing.
• Minimum five years in mortgage industry; equivalent mix accepted.
• Expertise in loan origination, insurance, and mortgage underwriting.
• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment for multi-unit properties.
• Proficiency in sales techniques and CRM.
• Advanced skills with presentations and computer systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building.
• Experience in training and delivering professional presentations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to develop multi-unit strategies in the region.
• Work with Multi-unit Operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Design and implement tactical plans based on client needs and volumes.
• Deliver targeted presentations and training to improve product knowledge.
• Manage client expectations around declined or escalated applications.
• Lead strategic discussions with clients to align with CMHC objectives.
• Monitor industry trends, client strategies, and operational shifts.
• Represent CMHC at industry events to strengthen relationships.
