Job summary

Suncor Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Wholesale customers, primarily in the Construction channel.

You will develop new business, strengthen relationships and deliver sustainable growth while collaborating with internal partners across Pricing, Operations, Credit, Marketing and more. The role requires managing complex sales cycles, strong negotiation skills and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or another relevant discipline.
• Experience in B2B sales, strategic account management or business development.
• Experience in Construction sector or related markets is an asset.
• Strong commercial, financial and analytical capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and operate independently.
• Must speak fluent French and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute account and territory plans to achieve volume, value and business objectives.
• Lead Construction channel coverage, developing market knowledge, customer relationships and growth opportunities.
• Manage a portfolio that includes complex and strategic accounts with higher potential risk/reward.
• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
• Develop commercial solutions based on customer needs, competitive dynamics and internal capabilities.
• Lead complex customer negotiations and recommend pricing and commercial strategies within established guidelines.
• Build strong relationships across multiple levels of customer organizations.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and proactively manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Operations, Credit, Marketing and other internal stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor less-experienced Account Managers and contribute to broader team initiatives
