Senior 3D and Technical Artist

Generalist 3D Artist with experience in both organic and hard surface modeling, sculpting, and integration across various game engines. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design and a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with designers and other artists to establish project requirements and timelines.
  2. Work with other areas to address and resolve asset-related issues.
  3. Develop prototypes and concept models to communicate ideas and design intent.
  4. Create high-quality 3D models, including both organic and hard surface assets.
  5. Sculpt detailed assets.
  6. Refine and optimize meshes for real-time applications.
  7. Perform retopology and optimization of meshes to ensure performance in pre-rendered animation, real-time, or simulation environments.
  8. Conduct performance profiling and optimization to maintain frame rates and visual fidelity.
  9. UV map and texture 3D models with attention to detail.
  10. Create materials and shaders for various projects.
  11. Light different scenes effectively.
  12. Animate assets as required.
  13. Create and implement particle effects and simulations.
  14. Render stills and animations.
  15. Handle post-processing tasks.
  16. Ensure the quality of every piece produced.
  17. Mentor junior artists and provide constructive feedback on their work.
Experience Requirements:
  1. Proven experience working with various file formats and migrating assets between them, including OBJ, FBX, CAD files, USD, and other proprietary formats.
  2. Experience preparing, integrating, and optimizing assets for game engines, including Unity, Unreal Engine, and Omniverse, with the capacity to adapt to new engines as needed.
  3. Experience with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) projects.
  4. Experience with rigging and skinning characters for animation.
  5. Familiarity with real-time rendering techniques and optimization strategies.
  6. Familiarity with cross-platform development and optimization for various devices.
Technical Skills:
  1. Familiarity with game development pipelines and workflows.
  2. Proficiency in creating efficient UV layouts and understanding texture atlasing.
  3. Knowledge of Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D.
  4. Experience with Marvelous Designer or Clo3D.
  5. Proficiency in ZBrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and Substance Sampler.
  6. Competence in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  7. Familiarity with After Effects and Premiere.
  8. Experience with Unity, Unreal, and the Omniverse Suite.
