Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Semi Driver on a permanent full-time basis for our Transportation Operations team. The position is on-site in Edmonton, Alberta, with Sunday to Thursday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

You will operate a semi-truck, prepare trailers, and perform basic mechanical work while ensuring safe, efficient deliveries. We offer competitive wages, an employer-contributed pension plan, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Class 1 license with a minimum of 6 months experience.
• Able to pass an in-cab evaluation by a Transportation Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck and body unit for rural/city deliveries and trailer spotting.
• Prepare trailers for deliveries by cleaning interiors and fueling reefers.
• Perform minor mechanical work on trucks, trailers, and reefers when required.
• Conduct truck and trailer inspections and report on equipment condition.
• Perform other duties as required.

Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

What You’ll Do

• Operate a semi-truck and/or body job unit which may include rural and city deliveries, city pickups, and spotting of trailers.
• Prepare trailers for deliveries including cleaning interiors and fuelling reefers.
• Perform minor mechanical work on trucks, semi-trailers, and reefers when required.
• Perform truck and trailer inspections and report on condition of equipment.
• Other duties as required.

You will work closely with other transportation professionals and will demonstrate customer focus by ensuring deliveries are made in a safe and efficient manner.

Who You Are

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

• Have a grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
