Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring for a Self-Checkout Attendant in Thunder Bay, ON. This role supports a positive shopping experience by providing friendly, helpful service and guiding customers through self-checkout transactions in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will maintain a clean and safe self-checkout area, promote Walmart programs, assist customers with the self-checkout process, respond to EAS alarms, and manage Scan & Go equipment. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: keep the self-checkout area clean, safe, and organized.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: supports credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: assist customers to complete transactions quickly and confidently, escalate cash or tech issues as needed.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and complete documentation: handle alarms per procedure and log failures to deactivate.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: ensure scanners are returned to designated storage after use.
