K3 Seeds is seeking a qualified Seed Plant Operator for the night shift in Iron Springs, Alberta. The role involves operating and maintaining seed cleaning equipment, handling packaging, and coordinating with drivers and truckers to ensure smooth throughput.

Qualifications

• Seed plant, feed mill or grain handling experience required.
• Class 5 Driver's License required; Class 3 or Class 1 considered an asset
• Thorough understanding of seed handling, packaging, and treatment process
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (over 50lbs) on a regular basis
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• General equipment maintenance and maintenance planning
• Monitor cleaning equipment and facilities
• Adjust machinery settings to maximize cleaning efficiency
• Operate forklifts, grain augers, tractors, trucks, etc.
• Interact with retail clients and truckers
• Load and unload customer trucks
• Maintain records of incoming products and throughput
• Sample grading during processing and cleaning for quality control
• Plant and yard clean up as required
• Assist other plant personnel as needed
• Seed treating and packaging
• Must be able to work independently

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

Wage:

$25.00–$32.00/hour, negotiable based on experience, plus a $2.00/hour night-shift premium for night-shift hours worked.
