Job summary

K3 Seeds is actively seeking a Junior Seed Plant Operator to join our team at Iron Springs, Alberta. You will assist with packaging, operate conveyor systems, and support loading operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include seed treatment assistance, pallet jack use, and keeping the warehouse and yard organized in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a Class 5 license and the ability to lift heavy items.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Driver's Licence required; Class 3 or Class 1 asset.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic understanding of seed handling, packaging, and treatment processes.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (over 50 lbs) regularly.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with packaging and handling of seed products, including bagging and tote filling.
• Operate and monitor conveyor belt systems to ensure efficient material flow.
• Fill tote bags with seed while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Secure tote bags by tying and sealing them.
• Apply banding to packaged products for secure transportation and storage.
• Support loading operations by assisting with safe and efficient loading of trucks.
• Assist in seed treatment following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
• Operate a pallet jack to transport materials within the warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and yard.
