Job summary

Houle is seeking a Security Systems Technician for our Prince George, BC service teams. You must be a certified Electrician or Security System Technician and ready to work on active construction sites, install and commission security, access control and healthcare systems.

You will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot on-site, and program various systems while maintaining accurate installation records. Knowledge of Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC or Avigilon is a plus; union affiliation with IBEW 993 is

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Security Technician Trade Qualification or be a Certified Electrician with experience installing Security or Healthcare Technologies
Experience working on active construction sites
Hold a valid Security Alarm Installer License or be willing to obtain
Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Security Technologies, Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion/Burglar Alarms, RTLS, Patient Wandering Alerts, Networks and Communication electronics
Knowledge in Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon is a plus
Experience on hospital/healthcare construction projects with healthcare systems (Nurse call, Patient Wandering, RLTS) would be strong asset

Responsibilities

Install, configure and commission electrical Security, Access Control and Healthcare systems
Interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams for correct installations
Respond to customer service calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues
Provide ongoing service, repairs and programming; maintain records of installs and service calls
Program and integrate different Security and Access Control systems
Train users on Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon
