Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Technician to install, integrate, and service advanced security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms. You will work in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You must hold a BC Security TQ Licence, be proficient with Windows, MS Server, and Office, and bring hands-on tool experience. The role requires effective communication, safety awareness, and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Valid BC Security TQ Licence is required.
• Proficient with Windows, MS Server and Office; solid IT networking knowledge.
• Experience installing/servicing security systems (C-Cure 9000, Kantech, Genetec, Lenel/S2 or similar).
• High school diploma or trade school; technical degree in electronics or computers preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-focused communication.

Responsibilities

• Install and inspect equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Coordinate field activities for programming, integrations, and commissioning.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot field wiring problems.
• Advise customers on restoring systems to full functionality.
• Manage service calls and allocate field labor hours efficiently.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and issues.
• Prepare daily activity and system performance reports.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a culture of safety.
• Operate in confined spaces and at heights with proper PPE.
• Collaborate with team to deliver integrated security solutions.
