Job summary

Island Health is seeking security professionals to protect our sites across Courtenay/Comox Valley. You will provide access control, patrols, and rapid emergency response while maintaining high safety standards and exceptional customer service.

Positions include part-time, full-time, and casual shifts with flexible scheduling. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities are available within a growing, not-for-profit security team serving diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed with recognized security training certification.
• Willingness to complete Basic/Advanced Security Training and First Aid as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
• Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and resolve conflicts promptly.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
