Title: Security Professional - Overnight Shift Supervisor

Location: Toronto, ON.

Pay‑rate: $19.35 per hour

Type: Full Time

Schedule: Sunday to Saturday | 8:00PM - 8:00AM

Allied Universal is seeking a strong, experienced Security Professional - Overnight Shift Supervisor to lead evening operations at a high‑traffic retail mall in Toronto, ON. This role requires exceptional leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving customer and site needs. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record in managing teams, writing clear and accurate reports, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and Lead: Oversee the evening security team, ensuring effective shift operations and adherence to site policies.
• Incident Management: Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, alarms, and incidents while coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Access & Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems, patrol the property, and enforce access control to maintain a secure environment.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate, detailed incident and daily activity reports; ensure documentation is completed to company standards.
• Customer Service: Interact with mall management, tenants, and visitors with professionalism, ensuring a positive experience while enforcing safety measures.
• Team Coordination: Conduct briefings, assign tasks, and provide on‑shift coaching to maintain team efficiency and morale.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience as a security professional
• Recognition or proven merit in the field of security or law enforcement is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong report writing and documentation abilities.
• Proficient with computers, surveillance systems, and digital communication tools.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and pass a comprehensive background check.
• Standard/Emergency First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physically fit: able to stand/walk for long periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift/carry up to 20 kg.
