Job summary

Allied Universal and its Etobicoke site seek a Security Patrol Guard – Premium Mall to join a high-profile retail environment. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, respond to incidents, and support the overall security operations while delivering exceptional customer service to tenants, employees and visitors.

The role requires 2–3 years in security, a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, a G-class driver’s licence, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of security experience in retail, commercial, or customer-service environment.
• Ontario Security Guard Licence is required.
• Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean record.
• Age 25 or older for insurance eligibility.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Strong report writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and security systems.
• Calm, decisive in emergencies and professional appearance.
• Legally allowed to work in Canada.
• Able to work rotating days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols throughout the mall, parking facilities and surrounding property.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism and trespassing.
• Respond promptly to incidents and calls for service.
• Investigate and document incidents and security concerns per procedures.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, access control and other security systems.
• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants and visitors.
• Enforce property rules and applicable laws.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Assist emergency services as a first responder when needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs accurately.

The successful candidate will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, respond to incidents, and support the overall security operations of a premier retail destination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols throughout the shopping centre, parking facilities, and surrounding property.




• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other undesirable activities.




• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.




• Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and security concerns in accordance with site procedures.




• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security technologies.




• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to shoppers, tenants, and visitors.




• Enforce property rules, regulations, and applicable legislation.




• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.




• Assist emergency services and act as a first responder during emergency situations.




• Complete detailed reports, logs, and electronic documentation accurately and professionally.




• Collaborate with property management, retailers, contractors, and fellow security personnel to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of security experience, preferably within a shopping centre, retail, commercial, or customer-service-focused environment.




• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.




• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.




• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility requirements.




• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.




• Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.




• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security-related technology systems.




• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
