Allied Universal is hiring a Security Patrol Guard – Premium Mall in Etobicoke, Ontario. The role involves mobile and foot patrols, incident response, and maintaining a secure environment for tenants and visitors within a premier retail destination.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of security experience, valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, and First Aid/ CPR certification. Must be 25+ and able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of security experience, preferably in retail or high-traffic environments.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with clean record.
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility.
• First Aid and CPR Certification is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to document incidents clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols in mall and surrounding areas.
• Maintain visible security presence to deter theft and disturbances.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service promptly.
• Investigate and document incidents and safety concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarms, and other security tech.
• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers and tenants.
• Enforce property rules and regulations in accordance with procedures.
• Identify safety hazards and coordinate with management on mitigation.
• Assist emergency services as first responder when needed.
• Prepare detailed reports and logs accurately and professionally.
• Collaborate with security team, retailers, and management to maintain security.

The successful candidate will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, respond to incidents, and support the overall security operations of a premier retail destination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols throughout the shopping centre, parking facilities, and surrounding property.

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other undesirable activities.

• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.

• Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and security concerns in accordance with site procedures.

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security technologies.

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

• Enforce property rules, regulations, and applicable legislation.

• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.

• Assist emergency services and act as a first responder during emergency situations.

• Complete detailed reports, logs, and electronic documentation accurately and professionally.

• Collaborate with property management, retailers, contractors, and fellow security personnel to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of security experience, preferably within a shopping centre, retail, commercial, or customer-service-focused environment.

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.

• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.

• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility requirements.

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.

• Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security-related technology systems.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

• Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a high-end retail, luxury shopping centre, or commercial property environment.

• Previous mobile patrol experience.
