Qualifications

Responsibilities

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Continental Rotation 2000 - 0800

Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking professional, customer-focused, and highly motivated Security Guards to join our team at a prestigious Downtown Toronto property. This high-profile assignment requires security professionals who can provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity, theft, vandalism, and other security concerns.

• Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.

• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service.

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to tenants, residents, visitors, and contractors.

• Enforce property rules, regulations, and site-specific procedures.

• Assist with access control and visitor management as required.

• Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.

• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities.

• Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with emergency services when required.

• Complete accurate reports, logs, and electronic documentation in a timely manner.

• Work collaboratively with property management and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and professional environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of security experience, preferably in a commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use environment.

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to write detailed and accurate incident reports.

• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and security management systems.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working at high-profile commercial, residential, retail, or mixed-use properties.

• Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.

• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
