Job summary

Backwoods Security Services in Nisku, AB is hiring a Dispatcher for Security Operations. The role coordinates daily security operations, schedules staff, and serves as the central communication point between clients, guards, and the operations team.

We offer a full-time position with a 4-week rotating schedule, 28–40 hours per week, and opportunities to pick up casual shifts for licensed employees. Competitive pay starts at $21.12 per hour in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of dispatch, scheduling, security operations, logistics, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily security operations and ensure staffing coverage.
• Review schedules to identify gaps or issues.
• Communicate with guards in the field and provide operational support.
• Receive client requests and arrange security coverage.
• Prepare and distribute weekly schedules to security personnel.
• Respond to and dispatch emergency alarm calls.
• Monitor attendance and address recurring concerns.
• Monitor access control and CCTV systems.
• Manage employee accommodation bookings within scheduling and cost constraints.
• Maintain and update schedules using scheduling software.
• Ensure hours of work compliance.
• Communicate professionally with clients, guards, and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide practical solutions.
• Track and manage equipment and assets assigned to employees.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and system updates.
• Use company software to support daily operations.
• Assist with additional operational duties as required.
