Alignerr is seeking a Security Operations Analyst (AI Training) to analyze realistic SOC scenarios, document expert reasoning, and help teach AI how analysts think and respond to threats. This remote, hourly-contract role offers flexible hours and a chance to influence frontier security tooling.

You will review AI outputs, identify gaps in reasoning, and provide structured feedback while working independently on task-based assignments. 2+ years in SOC/IR is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and investigation methodologies.
• Skilled at separating genuine threats from noise — you know what a real signal looks like.
• Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills.
• Able to articulate your analytical reasoning clearly and systematically.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic SOC scenarios — incidents, alerts, and investigation workflows — and document expert reasoning.
• Classify alert severity, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs to ensure they reflect how experienced analysts actually work.
• Identify gaps in AI reasoning — false positives, missed signals, or flawed triage logic.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback that helps AI systems mirror real-world security operations.
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments.
