Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst to join our AI training initiative. This fully remote, hourly contract role leverages your hands-on security experience to analyze enterprise threats and contribute to data labeling for AI models.

You’ll evaluate firewalls, EDR, IAM, and SIEMs; classify incidents; and clearly communicate root causes and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ideal for security practitioners who value autonomy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on security experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoints.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, EDR, email security, IAM, and SIEMs.
• Able to explain complex security issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine what went wrong and why
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data
• Create, label, and validate security datasets used to train and evaluate AI models
• Clearly articulate root causes, attacker techniques, and business impact in structured formats
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security
• Solid working knowledge of firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, and SIEMs
• Strong understanding of how real enterprises deploy and operate security controls
• Able to explain complex security issues clearly — to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working without close supervision

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
• Background in security engineering, SOC analysis, or infrastructure architecture
• Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or security research projects
