Job summary

CANCOM Security Inc. is recruiting for security professionals across the Greater Toronto Area. We welcome licensed guards and newcomers to security who want to develop a long-term career with a First Nations-owned company.

Anticipated pay range is $19–$25 per hour, with full-time, part-time, casual, and on-call opportunities. Training and licensing through CANCOM Security Academy help candidates build skills and qualify for Ontario licensing.

Qualifications

• For Licensed Security Guard Positions: Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Availability for assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays where required.

Responsibilities

• Protecting people, property, and client facilities.
• Conducting proactive security patrols and identifying potential safety concerns.
• Monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Responding professionally to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.
• Applying conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
• Preparing accurate incident reports and maintaining operational documentation.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, clients, and emergency services.
• Following CANCOM policies, client procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism at all times.

Compensation & Opportunities

Anticipated Pay Range: $19–$25/hour

Compensation varies depending on the position, assignment, qualifications, and experience.

Full-time, part-time, casual, and specialized assignments may be available depending on operational requirements.
