Job summary

Allied Universal in Guelph, ON is seeking Security Professionals to provide front-line security services and uphold a professional, customer-focused image.

This casual role requires availability for multiple shifts, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies. You will perform access control, patrols, incident reporting, and site support while adhering to post orders and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• First Aid and CPR is mandatory.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, manage the movement of guests at various points throughout the property etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision‑making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training

Job Type: Casual

Pay Rate: $ 18.76 per hour

Shifts: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat; (0700-1500,1500-2300,2300-0700); Subject to change.

Overview

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in Guelph, ON to provide professional, front‑line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, able to work night shifts, a professional demeanor, and willing to work with a dynamic team.

Requirement

• Drivers License is considered an an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada for at least 24 hours per week.
